Decorative Concrete Features in Scarborough — what to know
The Decor Coatings crew installs decorative concrete features for homeowners and businesses in Scarborough. Custom countertops, feature walls, hearths, and architectural concrete elements. Scarborough's broad mix of post-war suburban housing, newer townhouse developments, and light-commercial space along the main corridors keeps our schedule varied. Basement coatings and garage epoxy work in Scarborough homes are two of our most-requested jobs.
Scarborough sits in the Toronto region, and our scheduling runs same-day for consults. Local building eras range from mid-century bungalows to modern custom builds, which is why our quoting process always starts with an in-person slab inspection. For concrete features specifically, that means custom-designed per project, cast-in-place or prefabricated panel installation, matched to the actual condition of your slab or wall.
Our quotes include a written specification: what system, what thickness, what cure time, what warranty. Most residential jobs are booked within two weeks of quote acceptance.

Common questions
How much do custom concrete countertops cost?+
Price varies with size, edge detail, inlays, and whether we cast on-site or in the shop. We quote per piece after a site measure — reach out for a specific estimate.
Will it stain from wine or oil?+
Properly sealed concrete countertops are stain-resistant but not stain-proof. We use food-safe sealers that handle normal kitchen use well, and we re-seal annually if desired.
Do you serve all of Scarborough?+
Yes — we work across every neighbourhood in Scarborough, including Agincourt, Rouge, Guildwood, and surrounding areas. Scheduling is same-day for consults.
How does Scarborough's climate affect concrete features?+
The GTA's humidity swings and winter heating cycle affect substrate moisture, which is why we moisture-test every slab before scheduling. Concrete Features systems are selected to handle the conditions we find — including the salt and freeze-thaw stress that garage floors see from November through April.
