Concrete Finishes
Concrete Staining — Toronto & GTA
Rich, variegated colour applied directly to interior concrete — no two floors identical.
About this service
Concrete staining is how you take a plain grey slab and turn it into something that looks like aged leather, weathered stone, or hand-rubbed wood. We work with both acid-based reactive stains, which chemically bond with the concrete and produce rich, variegated earthy tones, and water-based dyes, which offer a wider colour range and more predictable application. The look depends heavily on the slab underneath — curing age, finish technique, embedded aggregate — which is why no two stained floors are exactly alike. That variability is the entire appeal. We seal every stained floor with a penetrating sealer, a wax, or a clear topcoat depending on use and desired sheen. The result is a one-of-a-kind interior floor with the character of natural stone and the price point of refinishing what's already there.

Questions people ask
How do I know what colour it'll end up?+
We always do a test patch — usually a 2-foot square in a corner — so you can see how your specific slab reacts before we commit to the full floor. The character of each slab shapes the final result.
Will it fade?+
Under a sealer, acid stains are permanent and don't fade. Water-based dyes have slightly less UV resistance and should be sealed with a UV-stable topcoat if there's direct sunlight on the floor.
What if I don't like it?+
This is why we do test patches. If you don't like how your slab is reacting, we switch to a water-based dye or a different approach before applying to the full area.
